A total prize pool of $2,958,560 was created in this event and Day 2 was the day that saw players get into the money. The bubble burst during the fourth level of the day and 505 players were paid at least $2,001.
Some 119 players made it to the end of Day 2, with Gregory Peterson leading the field with 1,990,000 chips, followed by James Jackson with 1,425,000, and Farzad Raji with 1,375,000.

Guy Cicconi, who has $693,455 in live tournament winnings, ended Day 2 with the fourth-biggest stack. Out of the chip leaders, Manelic Minaya is the one that has had the most success so far with $2,292,668 in total live tournament winnings, including three final table appearances at the WSOP and a second place in a $ 5,150 No Limit Hold'em - WSOP Circuit Main Event worth $160,557.
Hall of Famer and three-time bracelet winner Barry Greenstein is also still in the field, although he was not able to get anything going in the latter part of the day and will be returning on a short stack with 230,000 chips.
Apart from Greenstein, only four other bracelet winners are left in the field of 119: Kevin Song, who will be returning with 656,000 chips, Tong Li, Vince Burgio and Larry Wright.
Other notable names still in contention include Lee Markholt, Yucel Eminoglu and Anthony Johnson, a Grammy Award-winning producer under the name Tony Mercedes, who made it through the day with 420,000 chips for just over 20 big blinds.
The biggest exit of the tournament so far belonged to Dan Harrington, who held a healthy stack through most of the day, until a fatal clash with Sammy Farha. Farha chipped up nicely by eliminating Harrington, but was ultimately eliminated himself before the day wrapped up.
Other players who fell short on Day 2 were Barry Shulman, James Hess, Massoud Eskandari and Day 1 chip leader Dave Goodkin.
The tournament will resume on June 26 at 11 a.m. local time at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, with blinds at 10,000/20,000 and an ante of 20,000, and the plan to finish the night when only five players remain.

Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the eighth episode, Connor speaks with legendary UFC ring announcer Bruce Buffer in an exclusive in-depth interview after Buffer's deep run in the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $50,000 High Roller. Buffer, a longtime poker player, finished in eighth place for a career-best $212,423 after kicking off Day 3 with his trademark "it's time" introduction.
Buffer talked about finding his long-lost half-brother, Michael Buffer, and becoming his manager, the early days of the UFC, the similarities between poker and martial arts, his relationships with Joe Rogan and Dana White, playing poker with Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio and the time he injured himself in a poker tournament before announcing the biggest UFC fight in history.

Tom Thomas arrived at his table with a very short stack, but was able to make it work for him quickly, with two double ups within just a few hands.
On the first hand, he got it in preflop against Dana Johnson.
Tom Thomas: KxKx
Dana Johnson: AxQx
The board Q♦J♠8♠4♦9♣ gave Johnson a pair of queens, but nothing more, and Thomas doubled up.
Just a couple of hands later, Thomas was again all in preflop, this time against Lisa Xie.
Tom Thomas: Q♦Q♣
Lisa Xie: J♠J♣
While some at the table were openly rooting for Xie’s jack, the board ran out 5♥3♦4♦10♥8♣ and Xie lost a big chunk of her stack, while Thomas got to double up again.
