Join us tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. PDT for our continued coverage of Event 40 as we play down to a final table.
An unknown player moved all in from the button for approximately 7,000 chips. At this point, a player who had entered the pot from early position made the call out of turn and showed A-K. Stephan, who had been skipped over by the player who acted out of turn, made the call with pocket jacks, with the added benefit of knowing what his opponent had.
The flop came and Stephan pushed all in, assuming his opponent would lay down A-K, and that he did.
Heads-up the rest of the way, with the action complete, the original all in bettor showed and was drawing to an ace or running nines. The turn and river blanked out and Stephan was awarded the pot.
After the hand, Stephan jumped to second place on the leader board with 45,500 chips.
