Just before 2 a.m. on this saturday night, Day 2 of WSOPC Marrakech Main Event 2023 came to en end with 24 players left. This afternoon, 199 players on a field of 1,041 entrants returned to Casino de Marrakech in Es Saadi Resort with several goals. The first one was to reach the money : 151 spots were paid with a 28,000 MAD mincash (around €2,525).
The second one was to build a stack and to qualify for the final day of the tournament, this Sunday from 1 p.m. German player Waldemar Kopyl managed to gather a huge stack of 3,070,000 chips, taking the chiplead to start the final day. He is ahead of French player Hicham Mahmouki and Russian player Andrey Cherkashin.

Bubble bursted quite quickly in the beginning of the day and Nicolas Cottin Buracchio was the unfortunate bubble boy. The remaining players will return on Sunday, January 22th, for Day 3 of the Main Event. Play resumes at 1 p.m. local time in level 25, which has a small blind of 20,000, big blind of 40,000 and a running big blind ante of 40,000 with a duration of 60 minutes.
