Final Four Hands of the Night

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The tournament director has just announced it will be the final four hands of the night in Flight A of the Main Event.

Buane Finds a Double

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
James Baune
James Baune

James Baune moved all-in under-the-gun for 40,500 and the action folded around to Phil Mader in the big blind who had a decision. After a few minutes, Mader made the call and both hands were tabled.

Phil Mader: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
James Baune: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Baune had Mader dominated and the flop was only a little bit of a sweat coming {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}, giving both players a gutshot straight draw. The turn changed nothing when the {3-Diamonds} came and the river was the {2-Diamonds} sealing Baune's double.

Henrix Emerges as Chipleader in Massive Cooler

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Adam Hendrix
Adam Hendrix

Adam Hendrix raised under-the-gun to 6,000 and the action folded around to the player in the cutoff who put out 6,500, not seeing that there was already a raise he was forced to just call and the button and small blind folded before Jeff Sowell made the call in the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Sowell checked to Hendrix who continued for 7,000 and both players called.

The turn was the {j-Clubs} and Sowell announced all-in for roughly 150,000. Hendrix thought about it for about 5 seconds before calling and the third player in the hand announced he was all-in as well for roughly 170,000, which Hendrix snap-called.

Jeff Sowell: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Cutoff: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Adam Hendrix: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Hendrix had turned the nut full house against Sowell's flush draw and the cutoff's flopped full house. and the {a-Spades} completed the board on the river, giving Hendrix a massive chiplead nearing the end of the night.

Roeke Flops a Set; Leaves Farrar Short

Level 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

David Roeke limped under-the-gun and as did another player behind him before Mark Farrar raised it up to 14,000. The table folded back around to Roeke who made the call and the middle player announced "I've made worse calls." as he put in the chips to call.

On the flop of {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}, Roeke led out for 14,000 pushing the middle player out of the pot and Farrar went into the tank. After about 2-minutes Farrar announced all-in and Roeke quickly called and both hands were tabled.

Mark Farrar: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
David Roeke: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

Roeke had flopped a set and the turn had Farrar drawing dead as the {k-Clubs} hit and the {3-Clubs} on the river was just a formality, sealing Roeke's double and leaving Farrar short-stacked.
