Day 1c Completed
The Inaugural Texas State $1 Million GTD Main Event continued its rip-roaring ride on Day 1c as 371 entries reached the $1 Million guarantee on only the third starting day of five. Those 371 competed for 14 hours to make the final 45 players to advance to Day 2.
At the end of the day it was Salim Admon who topped all runners with an astounding chip stack of 1,416,000, which is more than 3,000 clear of the next closest player. Admon gathered a large amount of his chips late in the day when he hit a queen on a four-bet pot to overcome kings and shoot him up. He would continue to amass chips as the night came to an end and finished in commanding position.
Drake Roetker finished the day in second place with 1,136,000 in chips as used pocket aces to carve a lot away from Chan Pelton late in the day, who also finished fifth in chips himself, which beats his bag from Day 1b. Logan Hewett finished the day in third place with 981,000.
Big name players Darren Elias and Greg Raymer both scored bags to advance to Day 2. Elias spent much of the evening on the feature table where he would gain chips after winning several pots from a variety of players at his table to finish with a nice stack of 916,000. Raymer finished the day with 437,000.
A few other well known players to end the day with chips included; Daniel Lowery (653,000), David Jackson (394,000), Adam Hendrix (181,000) and Viet Vo (158,000).
The 45 who survived will join the 16 from Day 1a and the 25 from Day 1b for a total of 86 advancing to Day 2 so far,
PokerNews will pick up coverage for Day 1d tomorrow at 11 a.m. local time.
