A long day of over 12 hours and over 15 levels of play has finally come to an end with just ten players remaining in Event #1: €550 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em. When all was said and done, it was Wojciech Wyrebski who bagged a narrow chip lead after racking up 11,875,000.
Wyrebski was among the chip leaders for the majority of the day and finished strong by eliminating Klaus Schiefer in what was the last hand of the night. The Polish native started building a stack earlier when he picked up pocket queens and pocket aces and had an opponent shove into him each time.
Hannes Neurauter finished just a mere 50,000 chips off the lead by bagging up 11,825,000. Neurauter went on a heater with just two tables remaining to substantially increase his stack. He also drew the seat to the left of Wyrebski to put himself in good position on the final table. Dariusz Glinski put 9,350,000 in the bag which proved to be good enough to round out the top three chip counts.

When the day began with 296 players returning to their seats, everyone was already guaranteed to walk away with at least $1,285. The action was fast and furious out of the gates with over half of the field dropping off by the time the first break rolled around. That pace continued until the dinner break after the ninth level of the day which saw only 32 players remaining.
However, the food in the player's stomachs seemed to slow down the action as the eliminations started to spread themselves out. Short stacks continued to double up and the chip stacks started to level out. As the field was narrowed down to just two tables, a couple of the notable favorites found themselves on the short stack. Sebastian Kos and Jan Bednar were unable to turn their fortunes around as they exited the tournament in 17th and 16th places respectively for $8,365.
At the end of the 15th level of the day, just 11 players remained and the tournament director made the decision to halt play when just 10 players were left. It wasn't long into the 16th level when Schiefer was ousted by Wyrebski and everyone called it quits. The players will return with 29:30 remaining in the 34th level with the blinds at 150,000/300,000 and a 300,000 big blind ante.
The action will resume at 3:00 PM on Monday with the final 10 players taking their seats at the feature table. The action will be live streamed on a 30-minute delay with the hole cards being shown when just eight players remain. Everyone will be guaranteed to walk away with at least €13,410 but will have their sights set on the first-place prize of €203,820 and a WSOPE gold bracelet.

Klaus Schiefer shoved for 4,100,000 from the hijack and action folded to Wojciech Wyrebski in the big blind who asked for a count. The dealer confirmed the amount and Wyrebski called.
