Sovann Pen raised to 500,000 from the button and James Chen called. The flop came out 3♠7♣9♦ and Pen bet 250,000, which Chen raised to 500,000. Pen made the call and the players went to a turn of 9♠. Chen bet 500,000 and Pen called. The Q♠ came out on the river and Chen bet 300,000, putting Pen all-in.
Sovann Pen: A♥J♦10♦7♠
James Chen: A♦9♣6♥4♦
Pen was eliminated in third place and both players have gone on a brief break before play resumes.
James Chen raised from the cutoff and both Lewis Brant on the button and Sowann Pen in the small blind called. In the big blind, Adam Nattress raised and all three other players called in this family pot.
The flop of 9♣3♦10♦ saw Pen check to Nattress who bet and Chen raised. Brant and Pen both folded and Nattress three-bet for his last chips which Chen called.
Adam Nattress: A♥10♣4♣2♥
James Chen: K♦K♣8♦6♣
Chen was in the lead with his kings against Nattress' top pair, but the turn 4♠ gave Nattress tens up, making him a massive favorite. The river flipped the script once more as the K♠ gave Chen a set of kings to scoop the pot and eliminated Nattress in fourth place.
Aleksey Filatov came back from the dinner break as one of the short stacks with barely one big bet behind. Adam Nattress raised to 400,000 from under the gun and action folded to Filatov who tanked before finally making the call.
The flop came out 5♣7♦Q♦ and Filatov checked to Nattress who bet 100,000, thus putting him all in. Filatov called and the board ran out A♥J♣ and Aleksey was eliminated in 6th place.
Curtis Phelps raised under the gun to 200,000 and Lewis Brant placed a third bet of 300,000 and Phelps went all in for the remainder of his short stack.
Curtis Phelps: A♦Q♣Q♠2♠
Lewis Brant: A♥Q♠3♥2♥
The board ran out 5♣J♣3♠A♠9♦ and Phelps made his way out of the tournament area.
Sovann Pen limped in from middle position and Adam Nattress limped along in the cutoff. Lewis Brant completed the small blind and Todd Dakake checked his option.
Dakake bet on the 7♥4♦3♠ flop and Pen raised. Both Nattress and Brant quickly folded, and Dakake called. On the 5♦ turn, Dakake bet again, Pen raised and Dakake went all in with his final chips.
Todd Dakake: 8♦8♠6♥5♥
Sovann Pen: A♠J♦4♥4♠
Dakake had hit a fantastic turn to make a straight but had to watch in agony as the 7♣ fell on the river, giving Pen a full house alongside his 7-5-4-3-A low. Dakake received $20,640 for his deep run.
James Chen raised in the hijack and Lewis Brant called in the cutoff while Jamie Kerstetter moved all in from the small blind, which both Chen and Brant called.
The flop rolled out 5♥3♥3♣ which saw Chen bet and Brant called.
On the turn 5♠, Chen bet once more and Brant called.
Chen checked on the river 10♣ which saw Brant bet and Chen put in the call.
Jamie Kerstetter: A♣Q♠J♥6♠
James Chen: A♦K♥K♦2♥
Lewis Brant: A♠K♠10♠3♠
Brant had made threes full of tens to scoop both the main and the side pot while Chen's kings up were rendered second best. Kerstetter wished her opponents luck as she became the first casualty of the unofficial final table.
A large pot between Matthew Aronowitz, Lewis Brant, and James Chen went to a flop of 10♦Q♠2♥.
On the flop Brant bet 80,000 and Chen raised to 160,000. Aronowitz then went all in for his 185,000 stack. Both Brant and Chen called and began building a side pot.
When the K♣ came out Brant checked to Chen who bet 160,000. Brant raised to 320,000 and Chen called.
When the 6♠ came on the river Brant bet 160,000 which Chen called.
Brant tabled his hand A♦A♥J♠7♠ and both Aronowitz and Chen mucked their hands, which were irretrievable by the floor.
Jason Stockfish was all in for 120,000 from under the gun. Pearce Arnold called in middle position, Aleksey Filatov called on the button, and Curtis Phelps and Adam Nattress jumped in from the blinds.
With Stockfish all in and four active players still in the hand, the flop came down Q♥6♦2♣. Phelps and Nattress checked, Arnold bet, and three calls ensued. On the 7♥ turn, Phelps and Nattress checked again, Arnold bet, and once again three calls followed.
The river was the 2♠ and Phelps, Nattress, and Arnold all checked. Filatov stuck in a final bet, Phelps called, Nattress folded, and Arnold called.
Filatov's king-deuce was good enough to win the high half of the pot with trip deuces. Phelps and Arnold both had the nut low and took a quarter each, while Stockfish was eliminated.
