Day 4 with began with 852 players returning with their eyes on the money bubble, and now, less than half remain. There will be 378 players returning for Day 5 tomorrow with Manoj Viswanathan leading the way. He'll unbag 2.115 million and will have Sam Barnhart (1,925,000) and Pius Heinz (1,887,000) nipping at his heels.
Reza Kashani was the unfortunate player to be eliminated in 694th place and was the last to not be paid. Joseph Cheong knocked out Kashani on the fifth hand during hand-for-hand play. In total hand-for-hand play lasted 46 minutes. The bubble popped and a flurry of bustouts exploded all over the room. By the end of the day the field had moved up five levels on the pay scale.
Kashani wasn't the only one to hit the rail though, joining him were Phil Hellmuth, Jeffrey Lisandro, Humberto Brenes, Jeff Madsen, Berry Johnston, Andrew Chen, Steve O'Dwyer, Dennis Phillips, Shannon Shorr, Jake Cody, Robert Varkonyi, Sandra Naujoks, Joe Serock, Vanessa Rousso and Bryan Micon.
Notables returning for tomorrow are Daniel Negreanu, Sam Barnhart, Bryan Devonshire, David Bach, Jean-Robert Bellande, Ben Lamb, Sebastian Ruthenberg, Joseph Cheong, Matt Stout, Phil Collins, Joe Tehan, Kevin Saul, Eli Elezra, Lars Bonding, Garry Gates, Tony Hachem, Jon Turner, David Diaz, Erick Lindgren, Allen Cunningham, Todd Brunson, Petter Jetten, Carter King, Sorel Mizzi and JP Kelly.
When you have this many players playing an uncountable number of hands, strange things are sure to happen. Paul Baron, Nelson Dantas and WIlliam Douglas Smith had a hand worthy of any Hollywood movie. Dantas was dealt pocket aces, Baron had kings and Smith had two lovely red ladies. In the end Smith was eliminated, Dantas lost a good deal of chips and Baron chipped up significantly after spiking a king on the flop.
Day 4 proved to be a moving day for a lot of players. The first three days are all about survival but players looking to make deep run look to chip up and punish others on the bubble. Joining the 1,000,000-chip club are Bryan Devonshire, Jean-Robert Bellande, Chris Kwon, Ben Lamb, Sebastian Ruthenberg, Per Linde, Matt Stout, Massimillano Martinez, Chris Bonita and Max Heinzelmann.
Day 5 will start tomorrow, Saturday, at 12 noon sharp PST with some wiggle room in the schedule. The schedule states that the field will play four or five levels. In the final hand of the night over on table 352, the action folded to Evan McNiff who raised all-in for 150,000 from the hijack position. The cutoff, button and small blind folded, but then Holley called from the big blind blind and the cards were tabled:

We decided to keep tabs on 2010 Main Event 3rd Place Finisher Joseph Cheong for an orbit. Here we'll take you on the wild adventures of this aggressive player.
Stack at Orbit's Start: 990,000
Hand #1: Cheong started in the small blind. With the flop reading 
, he bet out 40,000 and his opponent called. The turn brought the and Cheong continued out for 55,000. His opponent called once again. The river brought the 
and Cheong pushed out 95,000. His opponent made the call.
"You got it," said Cheong, mucking his hand. His opponent flipped up 
and scooped the pot.
Hand #2: Cheong had the button and it folded around to him. He raised to 18,000 and he took down the blinds and antes.
Hand #3: The player under the gun raised to 18,000 and Cheong called from the cutoff. The flop came 
. His opponent bet 24,000 and Cheong made the call. The 
turned and his opponent bet 82,000. Cheong called once again and the two saw the river. His opponent pushed out 125,000 and Cheong quickly called.
His opponent tabled 
for jack-high. Cheong flipped up 
for a flush draw off of the flop, but an eventual two pair. Cheong was able to scoop the pot and recoup his losses from Hand #1.
Hand #4: A late position player raised to 19,000 and Cheong made the call. Daryl Jace three-bet from the button to 60,000 and the original raiser folded. Cheong made the call and the flop came 
. Cheong checked and Jace continued out with 75,000. Cheong quickly shot his hand to the muck.
Hand #5: Cheong was in middle position and folded preflop.
Hand #6: Cheong was in middle position and folded preflop.
Hand #7: Cheong was in early position and folded preflop.
Hand #8: Cheong was under the gun and raised to 18,000. It folded to a middle position player who three-bet to 57,000. Action folded around back to Cheong who thought for a minute before mucking his hand.
Hand #9: Cheong started this hand in the big blind. Daryl Jace raised to 18,000 from under the gun and the button made the call. Cheong called as well and the three saw a flop of 
. Cheong and Jace both checked and their opponent fired out 36,000. They both folded and their opponent took down the pot.
Stack at Orbit's End: 1,050,000
Although Cheong seemed to have a roller coaster of an orbit early on, he managed to come out of it with a 60,000 chip profit. Cheong's aggressive and active style has made him a severe force to be reckoned with and it shows with his lack of fear of entering a pot with anyone at his table. Daniel Negreanu had an opponent all in and at risk preflop. Negreanu's 
was well behind his opponent's , but the Canadian pro snatched the lead away when the flop fell 
. His opponent couldn't find a king on the turn (

Negreanu shook the man's hand, apologizing, then took his seat. "Felt like I was going to hit a queen," Negreanu admitted after the hand.

With the board showing 
and about 140,000 in the middle, Jon "PearlJammer" Turner was in early position considering whether or not he wished to call the 93,000 sitting in front of his lone opponent, Daniel Retallick, sitting in late position.
Turner tanked for a couple of minutes, stacking and restacking his chips as he contemplated the situation. Finally he set out a stack to call, and Retallick quickly showed his 
for trip fives, and Turner mucked disappointedly.
As we near the end of play for the night, Turner has about 510,000 while Retallick has 1.28 million.
