After ten levels play has come to an end here. Around 1,300 players have failed to make it back for tomorrow. The remaining players will come back at 2pm tomorrow where we will do our best to reach our final table of six.
The play has been frantic today and we expect more of the same tomorrow but the stakes will get higher and higher as we move up the pay scale.
Doug Lee sits at the top of the pile but there are many players hanging on to his coat tails. This is a tired MarcC signing off from The Amazon Room. Goodnight Vegas, goodnight world.
A new player was just brought to sit at Doug Lee's right with about 60,000. It was folded around to him in the SB and he completed before Lee moved all in. "Wow, you really want the 1,000 blind that bad?"
Sensing the SB was going to pass Lee responded with "No, I want you to call, I want more chips". He passed anyway accusing Lee, in jest, that he was a bully.
"I guess I am' replied Lee.
Then the guy said something like "You know we're in a desert right?" and then shouted to his friend on the rail "You got the shovel?"
Doug Lee has just eliminated two players in one swoop. In an unlikely twist they both held pocket nines to Lees' ace-king. An ace appeared on the flop to seal the deal and send Lee upwards to the tune of 230,000!!
