The Second flight of Event #8: $1,700 No Limit Holdem Main Event at the World Series of Poker Circuit Playground has ended. A total of 562 players fired on Day 1b with 75 players finding a bag. After the dust settled, it was Rami Hammoud who held the chip lead. The Roxoboro native was cool, calm, and collected as he accumulated chips throughout the day. He now sits as the #1 stack going into Day 2 after edging out Khaly Dang, from Day 1a, by just 8,000 chips. Right on his heels are Xing He with 915,000 and Jimmy Setna with 914,000 to round out the top three.
Some other notables made the money and will advance to Day 2. Bracelet winner Bradley Smith (31,000) is short but has a ton of fight left for Day 2, WSOP Main Event Final Tablaist Griffin Benger (153,000) found a bag, and Bracelet winner Mike Leah (526,000) will be a force on Day 2 with a very above-average stack.

On Sunday, the players from the three Day 1 flights will be combined. They have all secured a minimum prize of $2,900 and will enter Day 2 already in the money. The first-place prize is yet to be announced, but the total guarantee for this event is a whopping $1,500,000, with $843,000 being added from this flight alone.
The upcoming flight is scheduled for Saturday morning at 11 a.m. local time. It remains to be seen whether another player can surpass Hammoud as the overall chip leader. However, it is clear that everyone will need to put in some serious work if they plan on catching up with him.

Players were already in the final level of the night with only ten-minutes left when the bubble burst. The floor announced they were playing three more hands and those have been completed. The remaining 75 players have found a bag and play has concluded.

On the stone bubble there were two all ins on two separate tables. Matwej Troitschanski was forced all in from the big blind and three players limped in front of him in an attempt to burst the bubble. A pretty gross spot occurred when all four players checked to the river with both a four liner and three to a flush were on an ace-high board. The best of the three players had a nine-high straight and Troitschanski peeled his hand for the whole table.
He had an eight-high straight and top pair but it was no good and he unfortunately busted. However, Anoop Jugurnath lost a flip on the other table and was also busted so both players will go home with half a min-cash. Not the worst outcome for the pair.

Senthuran Vijayaratnam opened in late position to 13,000 while on the soft bubble. Adam Posch had just found his seat after a table change and quickly called. The remaining players folded and they were off to a flop heads up.
The A♦2♠9♣ flop landed and Vijayaratnam continued for 17,000. Posch beat him into the pot.
The 8♦ landed on the turn and Vijayaratnam went for another bet of 35,000. Posch snap called again.
The 3♠ river landed and Vijayaratnam slowed down with a check. He was met again with a snap-bet of 40,000. He quickly found a fold after the hand seemed to take about 30-seconds total.

Jikai Zhang opened in early position to 13,000 before the action folded all the way to the button where James Pillon moved all in for 153,000.
It folded back to Zhang who got a count and then tossed in a call. The cards hit their back with Pillon all in and at risk.

The full board ran out 6♥K♦8♥J♠9♥ and with middle set, Zhang sent Pillon to the rail about 15 spots from the money.
