Action has wrapped up in Day 1 of the the $100,000 Triton Main Event here at the 2024 World Series of Poker Paradise hosted by Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas. With the WSOP partnering with Triton this year, the tournament has already far surpassed last year's number of 111 runners. Day 1 of this year saw 149 total entries (107 unique, 42 reentries), with 80 players returning for Day 2 on Wednesday.

David Yan emerged as the chip leader of Day 1, bagging an impressive 1,166,000. He rose to the top of the leaderboard late in the evening when he woke up with pocket kings against the pocket nines of Mikita Badziakouski.

Not far behind Yan sits Dimitar Danchev in second with 1,107,000. He climbed the ranks steadily throughout the day and surpassed the million chip mark towards the end of the night where he caught Adrian Mateos making a move.

Rounding out the top three is Biao Ding (990,000) with just shy of a million heading into Day 2. He knocked out Viktor Kudinov in the last level of play when his pocket jacks bested Kudinov's pocket tens.

Day 2 will begin December 11 at noon local time, with blinds starting at 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 big blind ante. Registration will close at the start of Day 2, so we may see some reentries and new faces at the start of play.

Levels will be 50 minutes in length, with a 15-minute break after every two levels. A 45-minute dinner break will occur at the completion of level 16. As this is a three-day event, the expectation is to play down to the final table on Day 2.
