Day 1a Completed
Day 1a of The $800 RunGood Poker Series Main Event at Hollywood Casino in St. Louis, Missouri has come to its conclusion. With 82 entrants this flight, a total of 10 players found bags at the end of the day in their journeys to secure a piece of the $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Leading the way is WSOP bracelet winner David Prociak who ended his day with 497,000. Despite having $2,011,349 in lifetime earnings, this is Prociak’s first cash for the RunGood Poker Series. The Florida resident implemented an aggressive style of play as the night progressed and the night ended with several big pots going his way. He looks to use his years of experience on the felt to his advantage as he looks for his first RGPS title.

Mark Lafata ended the night second in chips with 437,000. Lafata has many cashes from all around the country, with 16 of them coming from the RGPS. Spending most of the day as a healthy stack, Lafata found himself in a massive pot against Dylan Lemery where he held bottom two pair and faded Lemery’s combo draw to take what was at the time the chip lead. He looks to capture his first RGPS title as well.
Among the final ten were John Fagg (311,000), as well RGPS ring winners Jon Swift (162,000) and Lemery (100,000). They were among the lucky ones today, but not all shared the same fate. Jaymie Virtusio, Chris Audrain, Preston McEwen, and Michael Miller were all unable to find bags today, but they will have their second chance tomorrow at 5 p.m.
Play ended with 22:47 left in Level 13 with blinds at 3,000/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante. These ten will return on Sunday at 12 p.m. and join the final players from the other flights.
