Day 1b Completed
The Day 1b evening flight of the €1,100 Eureka Main Event has wrapped up after 10 hours of play inside the luxurious Hilton Prague venue during the PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague. A familiar face turned it into his show once again with hopes of a repeat win here in the Czech Republic.
This second of four starting flights drew 434 entries, surpassing the numbers from the last time EPT came to Prague, just as Day 1a did. The event still has two more starting flights to go, and it's looking very likely to break the attendance record of 3,155.

Last time the EPT came to Prague, Alejandro Lococo topped the field and took home first place. He may not have cashed in Day 1a's flight, but he certainly did here on Day 1b. The only player to eclipse one million in either flight so far, Lococo sits comfortably in the overall chip lead. He drilled an unlikely set early on to start his run. He busted out some superstitious tricks to get the card he needed when his opponent sucked out on the flop. Finally, he was the man responsible for ending the night when he burst the bubble.. There's a lot of tournament left to play, but surely thoughts of a repeat winner have had to have crossed his mind with such a strong showing.

Cheung needed help to avoid being the bubble, but the offered no such help and he wouldn't be seeing a piece of the prize pool.

Alejandro Lococo opened from early position and was three-bet to 53,000 from Chung Ching Cheung in the cutoff. Back to Lococo, he moved all in, about 215,000 effective in Cheung's stack.
Cheung went deep into the tank, thinking for minutes.
"If it's ok, I'm going to call the clock," said Lococo.
"Go ahead, it's better for me," said Cheung.
"I don't think so," replied Lococo. "It's only for the bubble."
The clock was called, and the rundown was given. With three seconds left, Cheung released his hand.
Lococo crosses the million chip mark by a hair.

With two eliminations remaining until the money, Scaramozza had a decision to make. He chose to fold. Around the room, short stacks cling to their hopes of reaching the money soon.
