Rodrigo Seiji is in the hunt for a second major title after bagging up the chip lead following Day 1c of the BSOP Millions Championship.
Seiji, with nearly $2.5 million in live earnings including a win in the Super High Roller at EPT Prague in 2022, ended the day with 873,000 and atop the remaining 65 players who will return tomorrow for Day 2. Eike Onodera (764,000), Breno Drumond (646,000), Ilia Streltsov (594,000), and Guilherme Schreiber (582,000) round out the top five.

Some of the biggest stars on the Brazilian poker scene came to the WTC Sheraton today to take their shot at the title, and among those who survived include Bruno Desimoni (563,000), Brunno Botteon (409,000), Carlos Henrique Da Silva (329,000), Rafael Reis (233,000), and Felipe Boianovsky (185,000). Online crusher Kelvin Kerber defeated Allan De Mello to win the Super High Roller yesterday and both jumped in the field today, De Mello finishing with 218,000 and Kerber nursing a short-stack of 60,000.
Among those who failed to survive the day included Ramon Kropmanns, Neel Murthy, Gabriel Moura, Team PokerStars Pros Elias Gutierrez, Rafael Moraes, and Laurie Tournier, as well as Yunkyu Song and 2023 EPT Barcelona runner-up Joao Sydenstricker.
Day 1c attracted 192 entries, bringing the field up to 503 after three starting flights. A total of 174 players return tomorrow for Day 2 at 2 p.m. local time to chase a portion of the R$11,081,150 prize pool. The action picks up on Level 11 with blinds of 3,000-6,000 and a 6,000 big blind ante and levels from this point on will increase to 90 minutes. The official list of payouts will be announced shortly after the start of play tomorrow.

Botteon slowed down and checked, and Drumond put out 25,000. Botteon quickly folded and Drumond took the pot.
