Andras Nemeth Dominates Day 1 of Inaugural AU$25,000 PLO Event; 16 Still Remain
The inaugural $25,000 High Roller Pot Limit Omaha event at the Aussie Millions proved very popular today as 67 players turned up to play the four card game. At the end of the day only 16 remained.
After 12 levels of play, Andras Nemeth bagged the chip lead, with a mammoth 518,500 in chips. A long way back are David Lim (361,000) and Farid Jattin (284,000) who round out the top three.
Nemeth had an exceptional day, securing the chip lead early in proceedings, before never looking back. His biggest hand came when he eliminated both Jan Collado Fernandez and David Wang in the same hand after the three players committed their chips in pre-flop. A golden river card gave Nemeth and unbeatable straight which would rocket him to over 300,000, a number most players wouldn't see themselves the entire day.
