Heads-up on a flop of 6A10, a player in the hijack bet 4,000 and Juan Lyons called on the button.

The turn was the Q and the hijack moved all in for 10,500. Lyons spent a few minutes in the tank and eventually called to put his opponent at risk.

"Oops," the at-risk player said, showing 87 for just eight-high. Lyons had AK and the river came the 8 as last year's runner-up scored the knockout.

With around 3,000 in the pot, Antovian and an opponent checked to the turn on a board of A6810. Antovian then bet 1,000 from the big blind and his opponent called in early position.

Antovian bet another 5,000 on the 9 river and his opponent again called. Antovian turned over 76 for a rivered straight and his opponent mucked.

Heads-up on a flop of 689, Stefan Cupic bet 1,000 from the button and Manuel Ledesma called in middle position.

The turn was the 3 and Cupic bet another 3,200. Ledesma again called and the 7 fell on the river. Ledesma checked over to Cupic once more, and this time Cupic checked back.

"Straight," Ledesma said, showing 1010. Cupic turned over Q10 the same straight to chop the pot.

"I was hoping for a jack to come. That could've been big," Cupic told Ledesma after the hand.

Piznak Coolers an Opponent to the Rail

Level 2 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Nazariy Piznak and an opponent were heads-up on the river with the board showing 3Q39J and around 3,000 in the pot. The two players then got into a raising war that ended with Piznak's opponent all in for 40,000 from early position as Piznak called in the big blind to put him at risk.

Piznak turned over JJ for a rivered full house and his opponent angrily tossed 53 into the muck as Piznak took down the massive pot to send his opponent to the rail.

Guida Keeps Firing

A player in the small blind three-bet to 2,500 and the big blind called before Luigi Guida four-bet to 7,600 on the button. Only the big blind called.

The flop came J73 and Guida bet 4,500. His opponent quickly called and the J fell on the turn. Guida then bet 6,000 and the big blind again called.

Guida fired out another 8,000 on the 3 river and this time his opponent tossed his cards into the muck.

Keane Flushes the Champ

Level 2 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Manuel Ledesma raised to 300 in the hijack and was called by Gavin Keane in the cutoff.

The flop came K82 and Ledesma bet 600. Keane called to the Q turn as Ledesma slowed down and checked. Keane then bet 900 and Ledesma called.

Ledesma led out for 2,500 on the 5 river and Keane quickly called. Ledesma showed KQ for top two pair, but Keane turned over 107 for a flush to win the pot.

Despite dropping that pot, the defending champion has still increased his stack to around 75,000 so far on Day 1a.
