Tom Goldstein is a prominent American lawyer and high-stakes poker player.
Goldstein played anonymously on the 2024 Huster Casino Live Million Dollar Game and infamously mucked the winning hand in a $540,000 pot.
In January 2025, Goldstein was indicted by a federal grand jury in Maryland for alleged tax evasion related to millions in poker winnings and using legal fees owed to his law firm to pay personal poker debts.
As a private attorney, Goldstein argued before the US Supreme Court in dozens of cases. He represented Vice President Al Gore in the landmark 2000 election case against President George W. Bush. He also co-founded the popular SCOTUSblog.
