Over 51,000 Online Gaming Accounts Opened in New Jersey
On Monday, Bloomberg reported that, bringing the total to 51,352 since the soft launch on Nov. 21.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement would not say how many of these accounts have actually places a real-money bet online. The number of accounts doesn’t reflect unique users – some people have created accounts on several different sites.
The NJDGE will release its first revenue report from online gaming in January.
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, Tropicana Casino and Resort, Bally’s Atlantic City, and Caesars Atlantic City are fully operational. The Golden Nugget Atlantic City remained in test mode last week, but could launch full online betting this week.
